Today was my first day back in the office. I was lucky to get the last couple of weeks off in order to enjoy the holiday season. It was lovely. I actually managed to unwind and destress. All of my back aches even subsided. Although we did not have an exciting vacation planned, I really enjoyed having the time off.
Also today, I finished burning the last of my pine scented candle. We have a faux Christmas tree. Therefore, we miss out on the scent of fresh pine. That smell is so wonderful. We were so close to getting a small tree for our bedroom, just so I could fall asleep and wake up to that fabulous smell. Perhaps next year.
The holiday season is officially over. My pine scented candle is gone. It is time to clean. Today I am sharing my post holiday cleaning checklist.

I have put away all of my holiday decorations as well as our tree. I thought I was done Saturday, but I keep finding things. I found a pillow on the sofa and a throw blanket my Chihuahua commandeered for the last couple of months. I have reason to believe I have put it all away.
I still need to send thank you cards and return a shirt I bought my husband. I made a guess on an online purchase and now I get to return it. It is funny and he knows I love him, even if I am not that great at buying him clothes.
If you still need to send thank you notes as well, check out this adorable stationary from Sugar Paper.
