Decorate Home Tour Living Room

Fall Living Room Tour

It has been awhile since I have posted. I know. I miss you, too.

Today I want to share with you the fall touches I have made to our living room. I even have a couple of photos of my dining room. There is a little story there, so don’t go anywhere.

THE LIVING ROOM

This year, like every other year since we moved into our little townhouse, I decorated for fall. This year the walls are completely painted. The trim is white instead of beige. The lights are nice and bright. Can you even tell we don’t have any windows in either the living room or the dining room?

This space is pretty and the fall decor only compliments the space.

I found the cutest blush pink pillows with a tiny pom pom trim over the summer. I am not quite ready to say goodbye to them, so they are staying! n previous years I traded out the summer throw pillows for my velvet goldenrod yellow pillow covers.

New this year is a pumpkin print lumbar pillow. I like that the gray compliments the gray in the sofa as well as the cream and blush pink in the other throw pillows. The lumbar pillow is a Home Goods find.

I love the green moss balls in the dough bowl I found last winter at Home Goods. To shake things up, I added some small white faux pumpkins to the mix. The green really pops next to the white pumpkins.

Let’s talk about the fire place. I moved the mirror down from the guest room. We moved the living room TV upstairs; it is a decorating change that is still in limbo. I am not sure if that is how things will stay, but the mirror looks quite lovely above the mantle.

The topiaries are a carry over from spring and summer. I added a eucalyptus garland and finished with white faux pumpkins of various sizes.

Here is a view of our living room from another angle. Isn’t she lovely?

Still out is our Apples pillow. You may recall that I made this from a printable that I created in Photoshop a couple of years ago. I am thrilled that it has held up so well. It was my first time sewing a pillow case with a zipper. It looks just as nice as it did the day I made it!

THE DINING ROOM

Our living room is open to the dining room. To the right of the dining room is the kitchen and entry way. We love this space and use it all the time.

I promised that there was a little bit of a story for the dining room. If you look closely, you will notice that the canvas above the sideboard still has the wrapper on it from the craft store. I moved the painting that was here back to my office.

I want to add something that is light and soothing. I feel like the previous painting fits so much better with the playful environment of my office. I haven’t quite decided what I am going to do, but I promise to keep you posted.
