Decorate Entryway

Quick and Easy Entryway Decorating Ideas

The entryway is the first room you see when you enter your home. It deserves to look beautiful. Today I am sharing quick and easy entryway decorating ideas.

ADD WALL ART

One of the fastest ways to refresh your entry way is to change out the art on your walls.  Add art to your walls that reflects your personality as well as the color scheme of your home.  You don’t have to spend a ton of money on original art.  I bought canvas board from a craft store for just a few dollars.  I then painted it by layering colors.  I am not a fast painter so it took a few days.  I kept layering paint until I had a piece I was happy with.

ADD DECORATIVE ELEMENTS

I have a table in my entryway with a tray to collect my keys and loose change. If you have a table in your entryway, don’t be afraid to decorate it.  I added two sculptures I picked up from HomeGoods for about $12 a piece. If you like mine, ZGallerie has a few items you might also like: this, this, and this.

ADD NEW HARDWARE

A quick way to update a piece of furniture is to add new hardware.  My husband found this new drawer pull at Lowe’s for about $5.  This small change made a big impact to my entryway table.  It is a classy addition to this small space.

ADD A NEW RUG

Entryways for notorious for dirt buildup.  This is the main entrance of our home so we walk through this space every day.  Since we walk through here so often, we needed a rug.  I decided to go with a rug that was both pretty and practical.  I picked up a jute rug from Pier1, like this. Jute is a natural fiber.  It is durable, easy to clean, and hides dirt really well. I measured to ensure we got a rug that was the right size for the space. If you get a rug that is too big, you will have a trip hazard.  If you get a rug that is too small, it will not adequately keep your floors clean.
