Decorate Entryway

Our Cute Entryway Update Part 2

If you subscribe to the blog newsletter, you saw this photo last Saturday:

Laila got her hair cut last weekend and she looks so adorable. The bow lasted in her hair for about 3 days. I was impressed with its staying power. In the meantime, I am enjoying just how cute she looks!

OUR ENTRYWAY

Let’s chat about the entryway…

A couple of weeks ago the husband and I got a new light fixture for the entryway. This is a big deal because I have been looking at light fixtures for years and was unable to make a decision. Either I wasn’t in love with the options available or they were outside our price range. Then we found this and I just fell in love.

Also, a couple of weeks ago I painted our sweet little entryway table. It was damaged a little during one of our DIY projects and it needed an update. You can read more details in the post Our Cute Entryway Update.

THE REVEAL

I have pulled out a few more of my white pumpkins to decorate for fall. Here the entryway table has a small candy dish that is being used to hold loose change and other small items as to not clutter the key tray.

I updated the drawer pull with this adorable tassel pull from Lauren Haskell Designs. I also want to note that when I received the package with the tassel pull inside, it included a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase. When was the last time you wrote a note let alone received one?

The husband hung the new light fixture. It is stunning! One thing to note though: after I cleaned the finger prints off of the chrome finish, I never want to touch this thing again. Finger prints dull the look of the finish and keep it from being really shiny.

I am so pleased with how the room came out. One day we will be able to invite guests over to see it. In the meantime, I will be sharing photos on the blog.
