Lovely Valentines Day Decor

The husband and I have celebrated exactly one Valentine’s Day.  Valentine’s Day fell in the first month we started seeing one another.  I was shocked when two dozen beautiful, long-stemmed, red roses were delivered to my workplace.  They were so pretty!  They were not quite as pretty when I had to hold them while driving 45 minutes through traffic to take them home.  But we won’t tell him that.

That night we dressed up.  I wore a new dress.  He wore a suit.  We had dinner reservations to a fancy restaurant.  They were over booked, or the kitchen was running behind, because we still had to wait two hours for a table.  Or at least that is how long we waited before we were too hungry to wait any longer.  Then we walked hand in hand together to the TGI Friday’s across the street. Best. Dinner. Ever.

It is funny to think about this story.  I remember us discussing how much we liked getting dressed up to go to dinner.  We agreed to do it once a month.  We have done that exactly zero times since. So funny!

It is Valentine’s Day.  Although we won’t be celebrating in a traditional sense, we will still be spending time together.  We will still express love to one another.  It just won’t include candy, flowers, or jewelry.

Although we are not celebrating the same way as many other couples will be celebrating, I do love Valentine’s Day.  I love the pinks, whites, and reds.  They are such great colors together. I love hearts and roses.  X’s and O’s.  I didn’t have time to decorate this year, but others have.  Today I am sharing some lovely Valentine’s Day decor that I have found on Instagram.  Enjoy!
